Coheed And Cambria have released their new album, shortened for our sake to four, but there’s also a video out that fans can pick up. The DVD is called Live At The Starland Ballroom, and it was taped last year at the very end of the summer. |
Bassist Michael Todd and drummer Josh Eckerd of Coheed were asked if the band was on its game the day they filmed the video at the Starland Ballroom in New Jersey. |
“Absolutely not. No way, OK, that was the day after Warped tour ended, which we had been on for like two and a half months or whatever, playing every day, for a half-an-hour. I was out of practice by the time that show came around, playing 5 songs a day for three months. How out of practice is that?! When we played The Crowing we hadn’t played The Crowing in two months, and it’s not an easy song to just get up there and play. I think we soundchecked it that day and we were like, ‘oh boy.’ I watched that thing and I’m all haggard. I look like I want to go to bed. It was like, ‘Warped Tour is finally over, OK one more show, go play for an hour and twenty minutes and let’s film it for a DVD. Good job, fellas. You know what? We pulled it off. It’s definitely not the best Coheed show you’ll ever see.” |
Coheed and Cambria have been inconvenienced by the World Series. The band was to have played a radio station festival at U.S. Cellular Field, but the Astros advancing to the Seried switched the date to a nearby pavilion. Coheed And Cambria are touring with The Blood Brothers and Dredg. |
