COHEED AND CAMBRIA ENJOY BREAKING IT DOWN
Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume 1: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness is currently in stores, and Coheed And Cambria puts on one of the best modern rock shows to date. The group has also done a few acoustic performances, which the band is slowly getting accustomed to. |
Bassist Michael Todd and drummer Josh Eckerd talked about playing acoustic shows, and playing sans the electric guitar. |
[Todd] “We make a pretty smooth transition to it, I mean…” [Eckerd] Yeah, I think that it is pretty natural. I think we all kinda. I’m sure we’re better at it than when we were when we first did it, but now that we’ve done it a couple of few times, it’s definitley a different mindset. (to )Me and you have a different mindset. It’s much simpler…” [Todd] “I’m playing a different parts.” [Eckerd] “Yeah the grooves are different, so..” [Todd] “It’s fun, it’s a foreign thing to do…” [Eckerd] “It’s fun. It’s probably the most fun I have playing music now. It’s really fun. I can really hear Mike now. There’s not a lot of loud chugging guitars and whatnot. It’s a lot of fun.” |
Coheed And Cambria will be bringing their show to cities across the U.S. through December 1. Then the band heads to Europe for a handful of shows. |
