CHRISETTE MICHELE HITS THE ROAD WITH MUSIQ SOULCHILD

Chrisette Michele promotes debut while on the road with Musiq Soulchild….

R&B singer-songwriter Chrisette Michele is currently promoting her debut album, I Am. The latest single from the project, “If I Have My Way,” is currently Number Seven on the Radio and Records urban AC chart. While the singer may be a new artist, rap fans may know her from her collaboration w ith Jay-Z “Lost Ones,” and her work with Nas on his last album, Hip Hop is Dead.

Michele wrote the bulk of her debut album which features production from Babyface, Will.I.Am, and Salaam Remi. Due to the rave reviews of her album, she’s been invited to write on upcoming projects from Michael Jackson and Jennifer Hudson.

“A blast, it’s been an absolute blast being on the road. I have my best friends with me and we laugh all day long. Musiq Soulchild is a clown. He comes back stage and laughs at me while I’m curling ironing my hair, doing my toesnails, whatever I got to do. He’s a lot of fun to be around so I really appreciate his support. He asked me himself to come on tour with him so he’s very supportive of me.”

The singer is currently on tour with Musiq Soulchild and she shared what it’s been like so far. Michele said,

In addition to her music, Michele is working on a book about her life on the road and she’s scheduled to appear on several episodes of Girlfriends next season.
