Comedian Chris Rock has never hid his ties to the hip hop community. The rapper selected Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh and the get Fresh Crew to open for him on his last tour, 2004’s Never Scared. Now Rock has plans to take some other old school rap acts out on the road with him. He said, |
In related news, Whodini, who was recently honored at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors, is considering hit the studio to record a comeback set. The group, which consist of Grandmaster Dee, Jalil, and Ecstasy, continue to tour regularly. |
“I’m getting ready to go on tour though so check it out. The Chris Rock Respect The Kill tour starts in November 16 and 17th, Ceasar’s Palace, Las Vegas. Special guests Whodini is doing some shows, we gonna get Kane in there. The whole tour is going to be hip-hop acts opening up.” |
The group’s last release was 1996’s Six which was released through Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Records. |
Whodini’s biggest hits include: “One Love,” “Five Minutes of Funk,” “Freaks Come Out At Night,” and “Friends.” |
