CHRIS ROCK RENTS FOREIGN FILM FOR INSPIRATION

Americanizing the foreign film Chloe In The Afternoon, a French film with subtitles is probably the last movie you would expect comedian Chris Rock to remake into I Think I Love My Wife but there was actually a much more Rock-like reason that peaked his interest.

Chris admits what caught his eye.

“I was in the foreign film section at Tower Video which doesn’t exist anymore. And I was just going through foreign films because I like relationships. And this film actually had a pretty naked girl on the cover so I figured I could kind of get my naked girl on in the name of art. I could watch this at 9 o’clock right next to my wife and not get in trouble.”

Chris has his own philosophy about why men cheat on their wives which is why he was attracted to the story of a married man pondering infidelity.

“I always say some guys cheat because they just don’t like women and some guys love a damsel in distress. And I think Richard is kind of a sucker for a damsel in distress. Nikki comes in and he feels he can save her.”

Chris is currently working on raising money for a documentary in the style of The Chris Rock show where he’ll be interviewing black hairstylists at the Bronner Brothers Hair Show out of Atlanta Georgia.
