CHRIS CORNELL FEELS FANS ARE IN FOR A SPECIAL PROJEKT REVOLUTION TOUR
Chris Cornell talks about kicking off Projekt Revolution this week with Linkin Park, Busta, Atreyu and Ashes Divide among many others. |
2008’s North American Projekt Revolution Tour is set to kick off Wednesday July 16th in Mansfield, Ma and this year’s lineup features mainstage acts Linkin Park, Chris Cornell, Busta Rhymes, The Bravery and Ashes Divide and Revolution Stage acts Atreyu, 10 Years, Hawthorne Heights, Street Drum Corps and Armour for Sleep. After Linkin Park took a few years hiatus from putting together Projekt Revolution, the tour made a very successful comeback in 2007 and Linkin Park will once again look to build upon its past success. |
We caught up with Chris Cornell to get his thoughts on being a part of Projekt Revolution in 2008 and why it’s going to be a special tour for fans this Summer. |
“It’s something that fans will see and it’s the only time they are going to see it. They are not going to see that lineup all at the same show together again ever. So, one of the ways that makes it special and they take that away and they see Busta and Linkin Park doing a song together or they see me come up and sing with someone else’s set or something, that’s the only time it’s going to happen.” |
Projekt Revolution dates extend until August 24th in Woodlands, Texas. Chris Cornell is currently working on another solo album, which will be the follow up to 2007’s ‘Carry On.’ Cornell was quoted recently in an interview with People Magazine “This is the most excited I’ve been about an album in years. The music is natural, not self-conscious … open.” The album, which is being produced by Hip Hop mega producer Timbaland, is tentatively scheduled for release in September 2008. |
