R&B singer Chris Brown will make his big screen debut next Friday, January 12th, in the new movie, Stomp The Yard. The film also stars Ne-Yo, Sammie, Laz Alonso, Darrin Henson, Robin Thicke, and Meagon Good. Brown described the character that he plays. He said, |
When asked which is tougher Brown was quick to say acting. He said, |
“Stomp The Yard, it’s a movie. I play like his name is Daron. I play like the younger brother of the lead character. He’s more of a kinda like head strong, really focused kind of guy. That really wants to do better in school and everything like that. So it’s a great role.” |
Brown, who is currently working on his sophomore album with Philadelphia -based production duo Dre & Vidal, was named Number One Pop Artist of the Year and Number One Pop New Artist by Billboard.com. The singer’s 2006 hits include: “Run It,” “Gimme That,” and “Yo Excuse Me Miss.” |
“Acting, I would definitely say acting cause you have to…. any character you have, you have to own that character, you know what I’m sayin’? But definitely like with the music, it’s gonna be a little bit easier.” |
