St. Louis-based rapper Chingy is almost done with his third solo album, Hood Star, which he plans to release early next year. The rapper will be leaking a single from the project in the coming weeks. One project that he’s been working on for some time is a collaborative effort from his new group, the Git It Boyz. The rapper gave us an update on the project. He said,

Chingy’s previous releases include 2002’s triple-platinum Jackpot and 2004’s platinum Powerballin’.

“The Git It Boyz project, still working on that. There’s a lot of things going on with that so I’m still working on that situation. Git It Boyz is a click though in St. Louis. It wasn’t really no up front rappers but I made it like that but it’s a click, a click I hang with.”
