CHEVELLE AVOIDS WORK FOR CHRISTMAS
Chevelle is home for Christmas, and the band is trying to distance themselves from the stigma of being labeled a Christian band early in their careers. |
The Loeffler Brothers Sam and Pete said that they tried to keep a low profile, especially on Christmas, but they do acknowledge that it’s a great time for family. |
(Sam) “You know what? We’ve never… I don’t know we’ve always been so dedicated to just being a rock band that if somebody would jokingly say, ‘Hey you want to play a Christmas thing or something?,” we’d always be like, ‘eh, no we’re just a rock band'” (Pete) “Yeah I don’t know.” (Sam) But the holidays are cool for us. Like everybody needs to be able to go and spend time with their family.” (Pete) “Yeah, that is important.” |
The band released their new album, This Type Of Thinking (Could Do Us In) in 2004, and its success has been fueled by the single “Vitamin R (Leading Us Along).” |
