CHAMILLIONAIRE PULLS SURPRISE WIN AT VMAS
Chamillionaire was a surprise winner at the 206 MTV Video Music Awards as his hit, “Ridin,” beat out 50 Cent’s “Window Shopper,” T.I.’s “What You Know?,” Yung Joc’s “It’s Goin’ Down,” and Busta Rhymes’ “Touch It (Remix)” featuring Mary J. Blige, Rah Digga, Lloyd Banks, Missy Elliott, DMX, and Papoose, to win best rap video. |
The rapper recently released the third single and video, “Grown & Sexy,” from his platinum major label debut. Chamillionaire explained that he isnt wuite ready t record another album. He said, |
“New album, they’re trying to get me to do another album now. But I don’t know. I got a lot of heat out of my album. I’m about to do an overseas tour and a lot of stuff like that. i don’t know. We’ll start talking about another album in a little bit.” |
In related news, Chamillioniare recently hit the studio with 50 Cent. He explained, “I bumped into 50 in NY a couple of weeks ago, and he hollered at me and said he wanted to do some stuff, next day Sha Money hit me up and put me on some records. I really don’t like to say nothing until igets cleared, and everything goes through ’cause I don’t like to say I’ma be on something and then get pulled off.” |
The rapper added, “So yeah, I’m definitely been messing around with them. They been showing love, and I’ve been messin’ with his DJ, DJ Whoo Kid and Lil’ Scrappy, he just shot a video, he’s with G-Unit now and he put me in the video, so it’s a good look.” |
