CELEBRITIES VISIT TONY SWAG STORE

Before Broadway’s stars hit the stage for the 60th Annual Tony Awards they’re invited to On 3 Productions gift lounge where even if you don’t go home with a Tony you’re still a winner. Kipling’s Totes was given out as goody bags to fill with lots of free merchandise like UGG boots, Solstice designer sunglasses and sexy underwear from Chantelle Lingerie to name some of the S.W.A.G. available for the taking. Samantha Haft, co-founder of On 3 Productions says lots of celebrities enjoyed their free pre-Tony shopping spree.

Presenters such as previous Tony winner Christine Ebersole from 42 Street, Bernadette Peters, and Julie Andrews talked about a few of their favorite things.

“We’ve had a lot of great celebrities coming so far. Everyone from Lauren Ambrose from Six Feet Under to Jamie Lynn Sigler. Oh God everybody was in here, Glenn Close. They’ve all been scooping up probably some of the favorite things the Uggs. There’s a new mini classic Ugg for ladies that’s not on the market until fall so we won’t be able to get it until September but they got a sneak peak at it and got to walk away with it.”

Bernadette gave away her CBS goody bag from the Emmy Awards when she left it in the trunk of a car but not everyone is looking for themselves. Regifting the goody bag is what some of the presenters like James Naughton did, as he was scoping out some of the S.W.A.G for his family.

Julie: “I’ve just been given everything so I haven’t gotten a chance to look at all of them yet but I’ve been fated with eyeglasses and Uggs and lingerie and cold creams. Gosh I don’t know when I’ll have time to try all these things but it’s very generous of everybody. I have a large family with lots of daughters so I suspect I’ll be giving a few things away at least.”rnChristine: “First I stopped at the food table and made sure I got some great food. Then I got the Jabra Bluetooth which is exciting and the Chantelle bra and panties which was very exciting. I appreciate it all but I don’t have the need to go out and get it.” Bernadette: “I have a pair of jeans by Salt and I have a pair of Uggs and I have an ankle bracelet and a necklace and that’s so far. I take it all and then I decide if I’m gonna keep something or pass it on to my friends who could benefit from it.”

In total the goody bag is worth close to $40,000, but hey it’s stuff we all get for free.

“You know every item that I’ve sampled so far has been my favorite item because actually this is kind of amazing. SWAG I believe it’s called. I got a watch that I’m definitely going to give to my wife. These I don’t think I’ll be able to give to anybody else because they just seem to fit me and I got a whole bunch of body lotions and things like that that I know I’ll never see. My wife and my daughter will take good care of those. My son is hoping the Ferrari down the line here will be going to him but I don’t think so.”
