CEDRIC SEXES UP TALK TO ME

Cedric The Entertainer added his own sensuality to the role of Nighthawk.

Cedric The Entertainer had his own ideas about creating Nighthawk, the silky smooth urban radio disc jockey in Talk To Me.

Cedric told director Kasi Lemmons he wanted to create an atmosphere of sensuality in the control room when his character is on the air.

“I had ideas about bringing the wine and the grapes and the candles into his booth. And we both talked about the dogs, of having these animals and a very grand persona. Nighthawk, I wanted him to be cocky.”

Cedric says his costume was all he needed to ooze sex.

“You put on some silk blend polyester you’re gonna feel sexy. You got a neckerchief on your voice will drop. So that helped and the fro, the Afro all of that was just great part of the feeling so it definitely helped me get into the character.”

Talk To Me is currently playing in select theaters, opening wide August 3rd.
