CANIBUS RECORDS SIDE PROJECT WITH PHOENIX ORION
Rapper Canibus is back with a new album, Def Con Zero, which pairs him with veteran rapper Phoenix Orion. The duo, who record together as Cloak N Dagga, released their new album last month on Head Trauma Records which is owned by world champion K-1 kick boxer, Dewey “Black Cobra” Cooper. |
Def Con Zero features guest appearances by K-Solo, Kool G Rap, Free, Power Move, Halo Infinite, and Tyrant. |
Canibus’ debut set, 1998’s Can-I-Bus, was released on Universal Records and certified gold for sales of 500,000 copies. The follow-up, 2000’s 2000 B.C. was a commercial disappointment and the rapper soon parted ways with Universal Records. Canibus subsequently released three independent albums. |
Canibus took a break from the rap industry in 2003 to enlist in the U.S. Army. He served as a Calvary Scout/ Reconnaissance Specialist. |
