Cam’ron has taken another shot at Jay-Z after Jay-Z subliminally responded to Cam’ron’s previous diss track on the remix of Rick Ross’ smash “Hustlin’.” Cam’ron’s new diss track is over the beat of Yung Joc’s, “It’s Goin’ Down.” On the track, Cam’ron rhymes, “Player hater I don’t play them games/you got beef with Killa, n***a… say my name/you shy?/snortin wrong/or they recorded wrong/my paper long/I pee on any resort you’re on.” |
Cam’ron struck the first blow in the battle when he released the seven-minute diss song, “Swagger Jacker,” earlier this year. He also made fun of Jay-Z in his latest video, “Touch It Or Not.” Jay-Z did not officially respond to Cam’ron’s disses as he didn’t say the rapper’s name but several lines in his verse on the “Hustlin'” remix are directed at his nemesis. |
“At the end of the day I’m not gonna just keep beating up on an old man, you know what I’m sayin’? So if he retaliates or whatever, we’ll be prepared. But like I said a lot of people are sitting there saying, ‘Cam made a diss record. Cam made.’ I didn’t really make a diss record. If I said Beyonce was on my song singing about slinging crack. She’s on my second album singing about slinging crack. If I say somebody looks like a camel. They look like a camel. If I said somebody had on sandals. They had on sandals. I’m not lying. This is not a diss reocrd. This what’s going on.” |
Cam’ron has had a longstanding beef with Jay-Z since he was signed to the rapper’s Roc-A-Fella Records and it was further fueled when Cam’ron accused Jay-Z of stealing Roc-A-Fella Records and Rocawear from his mentor Dame Dash. |
After releasing his first diss track, Cam’ron explained that he didn’t plan to keep dissing Jay-Z if the rapper didn’t respond. He said, |
In related news, Cam’ron new album, Killa Season, entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at Number Two last week after selling more than 113,000 copies its first week in stores. |
