CAMRON FACING THIRTY DAYS BEHIND BARS
The Diplomats’ general Cam’ron may be spending some time behidn bars if a judge decides the rapper violated his probation by visiting Washington, DC, the weekend he got shot. Camron is due in court on Tuesday, January 31st, and a judge will decide whether or not to order the rapper to serve thirty days in jail. Camron is currently on five years probation afte rhe pled guilty to a weapons possession charge in 2004. |
The rapper shared his predicament. He said, |
“They said I shouldn’t have been in DC when I got shot. Basically I’m going to jail for getting shot, you understand? Like I had a show and I suppose to get permission and I forgot I had the show. So I up jumped left and went to the show. Then when I got shot, everything went public. So the New York City Department of probation, they’re doing what they have to do. You can’t blame them you know what I’m sayin’? They get pressure from DC like, ‘What was Cam really doing in DC anyway?’ And I didn’t go get the permission like I was suppose to. I usualy do go get the permission.” |
Cam’ron also shared that part of the problem is his refusal to talk to DC police about the shooting. The rapper believes there’s nothing he can tell the cops that they don’t already know since a police officer was present during the shooting and since they’ve recovered the vehicle, a cell phone, and fingerprints. |
Camron was shot while sitting at a traffic light in his 2006 Lamborghini. The rapper was able to drive himself to the hospital. |
