Rapper Busta Rhymes flew out the Los Angeles over the weekend to finish filming the music video “Touch It (Remix).” The shooting and death of his bodyguard Isreal Ramirez, brought an end to the shoot taking place in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on February 5. |
The rapper has not talked to police since the incident and has been laying low on the west coast. “[He’s] afraid to come back to New York,” a source said. “And get served” A high ranking police source believes that Rhymes trip to Los Angeles was to avoid being served with a subpoena. |
With witness reluctant to talk, the Brooklyn district attorney’s office has requested an audio tape believed to reveal the argument that may have led to the shooting. The tape allegedly has the voice of a man calling Busta Rhymes a “bitch.” Police believe the man on the tape is an associate of rapper Tony Yayo. |
Although a music industry source revealed Rhymes is back in New York, his whereabouts have not been confirmed nor the air date for the video. |
