UGK’s Bun B will release his first solo album, Trill, next month. The set features collaborations with Mannie Fresh, Young Jeezy, Jazze Pha, Pimp C, Z-Ro, Trey Songz, Mike Jones, Baby, Slim Thug, T.I., Devin The Dude, Lil’ Flip, Lil’ Keke, Paul Wall, Aztek, Chingy, Talib Kweli, David Banner, Too Short, and Juvenile. |
The rapper recently shot a video for the set’s lead single, “Draped Up,” as well as a clip for the “Draped Up (remix)” which features Lil’ Keke, Slim Thug, paul Wall, Aztek, and Lil’ Flip. |
“It took me literally two and a half years to start recording from the day I was like, ‘I may have to do this.’ I really rebelled against actually recording it because I never been in this for myself. I never wanted to do it dolo. I was always about me and Pimp getting it together as a team. So I kinda rebelled against doing a solo album totally until literally Pimp was like, ‘Yo you got to do this. Like this is the best outlet we got to keep what we doing going is you doing a solo album.’ Once I had that discussion with Pimp and I felt more confident about it. Literally I probably started about two, two and half months ago.” |
