BUN B GOES GOLD

Bun B’s solo debut album, Trill, was recently certified gold for sales of 500,000 copies. The rapper also continues to have a substantial pop presence as his collaboration with Beyonce and Slim Thug, “Check Up On It,” has been locked in at Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for several weeks. The song is featured in the new movie, The Pink Panther.

Bun B recently shot the video for the next single from his album, “Get Throwed” featuring Pimp C, Z-Ro, and Young Jeezy. He’s also busy working on a UGK album now that his partner Pimp C has been paroled. The duo expect to release the album this fall.

“And we’ve had in artists like Slim Thug, Paul Wall, and Mike Jones, and you know they’ve let me know that, you know what I’m sayin’, the reason that we do what we do you know is because of you guys, and Geto Boys, and 8Ball & MJG, and DJ Screw, and people that have been able to open up avenues. You know what I’m sayin’? And when I get that kind of information from people, it inspires me.”
