BUCKCHERRY STRIKES GOLD, LOOKS TO PLATINUM
Buckcherry’s latest album, Fifteen, has hit the gold sales mark which celebrates 500,000 copies sold. The track was spurred on by the song “Crazy Bitch” and they hope to reach platinum, which celebrates one million sold, on the heels of their new single, “Next 2 You.” |
Buckcherry talked about album sales and the effect the internet and other properties have on it. |
[Joshua] “We still need to get to a bigger place in the marketplace. That would really… That’s my goal, my personal goal. I want to get to platinum really bad. It’s a really big deal to me and Keith.” [Keith] “It is. We’re able to go out and play music for a living and support ourselves, and everything after that really is gravy. It’s just shades of grey at that point. Having a platinum record is definitely a goal that I’ve had for a long time, and I’m not coming off the road on this record until it is.” |
Formed in Los Angeles in 1995, Buckcherry burst onto the national scene in 1999 with the release of their self-titled debut album. The release was fueled by the energetic “Lit Up” and by their ballad-like “For The Movies.” |
Buckcherry is currently on a tour in support of Fifteen that runs through December 2 in West Palm Beach, Florida. |
