BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD HAS FAIRY TALE PROTECTORS

Ron Howard’s daughter Bryce Dallas Howard makes her sophomore performance in Lady In The Water, which is also her second film with director M. Night Shyamalan. Bryce says this film speaks volumes about Night’s director’s voice.

Bryce plays the mysterious narf who is discovered living at the bottom of a swimming pool after she has lost her way from her ocean home. Bryce says she has characters in her life that are born from fairy tales, each one representing something special to her.

“I think Lady in the Water represents him the way his other films don’t. It’s innocent, it’s romantic, it’s terrifying. It’s deeply spiritual; all of these things that are him. It’s a very, very peculiar film in many ways but it’s also singular in it’s voice.”

Next Bryce turns to Shakespeare in Kenneth Branagh’s direction of As You Like It. Lady In The Water opens tomorrow. rn

I mean in the story of my own life I have the guild which are my sisters and my mother, my girlfriends which are just like their voices. I have the interpreter, the person that can always see everything that I can’t see. I have the guardian, the person that always protects me. I mean everybody has this in their life and until they look for it they often don’t even realize that they’re there.” rn
