BRETT RATNER REUNITES WITH TUCKER AND CHAN FOR RUSH HOUR

Director Brett Ratner discusses his friendship with his Rush Hour stars and their talents.

Rush Hour director Brett Ratner has always said he is the one and only filmmaker who truly understands the dynamic behind the success of the martial arts meets buddy cop films.

Brett says returning to Rush Hour 3 was like a reunion amongst friends.

“You’re working with people that you have so much history with. And the fun of being around Jackie and Chris. Working with your friends is the most enjoyment that I can have making a movie.”

Brett talks about how Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan compliment each other.

“Chris is truly a comedic genius. He is a guy who can say anything and make it funny. He’s naturally funny. He’s brilliantly funny. Jackie Chan is the most experienced, most talented performer, not only actor but performer, entertainer. He understands the medium of film. He knows where his focus is, he knows where the light is. He’s a pro.”

Brett is taking on a different kind of action film, a documentary on the non-stop action of the annual street party in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro called Carnaval 3D: The Magic And The Music.
