BREAKING BENJAMIN DEBUTS AT NUMBER TWO ON BILLBOARD CHARTS

Breaking Benjamin’s new album Phobia has debuted at Number Two on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album was propelled by the first single “The Diary Of Jane,” and the band is currently traveling on a handful of tour dates. |
One of the fears vocalist Ben Burnley has is that he doesn’t like to tour. He usually stays up all night for the drive to the venue and then sleeps all day before the gig. Aaron Fink and Chad Szeliga talk about touring from their perspective. |
[Szeliga] “Like their kids are the world to them, and it’s like when you’re away it’s a blessing and a curse. You get to play and do what you love to do, but you also get to miss the things you wish you could see.” [Fink] “I wouldn’t… The road is not a place for kids. It’s a very adult lifestyle. I wouldn’t want my son near…” [Szeliga] “It’s different if you have your own bus. You don’t want, like, nine idiots running around (yelling) ‘Yeah!!’ [Fink] “If you had your own bus, yeah. It’s very unsafe too. You’re traveling all the time. It’s not a place for kids at all, I don’t think.” |
Breaking Benjamin’s Phobia sold over 125,000 copies in its first week, and “The Diary Of Jane” is in the top ten in all rock formats and is Number 4 on iTunes. |
