Bowling For Soup released their new album The Great Burrito Extortion Case on November 7. The album follows in the footsteps of their last original album, A Hangover You Don’t Deserve, which spawned the hits “Almost” and “1985.” |
Bowling For Soup was asked about the pressure of following up such a successful album. |
[Jaret] “I definitely went back and listened to it as sort of a… just from a standpoint of, ‘OK, this is what we did two year ago, and let’s take it to the next level.’ But, it was more of… We just kind of from a sonic standpoint, it’s pretty easy to recreate the sound of BFS. Which is the sound of love really, don’t you think?” [Chris] “It’s like Angels really, playing a nice little game of tag with the music they’re making in heaven.” [Jaret] “Right. That’s exactly what it is.” |
The first single from the album is High School Never Ends, and the band talked about the inspiration behind the song. |
“The title had been written down on this… in one of my songwriting journals for quite some time and just thinking about how from high school to college right into the workplace, all of those politics never really change, you know?” |
Bowling For Soup have a string of promotional activities lined up including upcoming appearances on Regis for his Halloween show and on Jimmy Kimmel. The band will then play at a slew of radio shows across America. |
