BON JOVI GRITS TEETH FOR HAVE A NICE DAY
Bon Jovi will release their new album, Have A Nice Day, on Tuesday (September 20), and the band has released the title track as the first single. The song is on the U.K. charts in the top ten, and it’s getting airplay at a number of stations with different formats. |
The band’s Have A Nice Day is not the sentiment it appears to be on the surface. Jon Bon Jovi said that the writing of the song was meant to unify the country in light of the divide the U.S.-Iraq war has caused in the States. |
“Well the record is really a record of inclusion. I felt at this time in the country with such polarization a healing process needed to go on. It’s a big rock record, so it’s got a lot of energy behind it. It’s sort of an antagonistic ‘Have a Nice Day,’ it’s like, ‘Thanks a lot. Don’t tell me who I am, what I am, and where I’m supposed to go.” |
Bon Jovi kicks off their world tour in support of Have A Nice Day on November 2 in Des Moines, Iowa. The tour will keep the band on the road through 2006. |
