BOB MARLEY FAMILY SUED
Former Wailer’s bass guitarist, Aston “Family Man” Barrett has filed suit against the family of Bob Marley and Island-Universal Records Ltd. claming $105 million in unpaid royalties. |
Barett claims he is owed the money from songs written by him and Marley, along with royalties from a 1974 contract with Island-Universal Records saying Marley promised equal royalty payments band members from records Babylon by Bus, Natty Dread, and Rastaman Vibration. |
The Marley family claims that Barrett, father of over 52 children, accepted several hundred dollars in exchange for royalty rights in a 1994 settlement. |
