BLOODSIMPLE IS MUDVANYE CERTIFIED
Bloodsimple’s “Straight Hate,” has catapulted the band into one of the leaders of the modern hardcore metal scene, and the band’s new album, A Cruel World, was released on Bullygoat Records, which was created by Mudvayne singer Chad Gray. |
The band’s guitarist Mike Kennedy and vocalist Matt Williams formed Bloodsimple, after their previous band V.O.D. hit the skids. The duo told us that Gray remains their biggest supporter, when he could have just simple put out the album and got on with his duties in Mudvayne. |
[Kennedy] “He said this record should be called Holy f–kin’ sh-t.” [Williams] “He got a… Every step of the way he was fed stuff. He was very ecstatic, very proud of us, and he did a lot for us. He was really psyched. Like Mike said, he did say something along those lines.” [Kennedy] “Like I said, he said the record should be called ‘Holy f–kin’ sh-t.’ He was psyched.” [Williams] “He still is excited. He’s very passionate and very involved, and I applaud Chad for that. it’s always the honeymoon session, the record’s coming out and after the record is comes out some people start to get scarce, and that’s just the way it is. People go on, he’s got this giant band, he’s trying to…He’s got that whole thing to deal with, and he’s still very prominent and very active within the band. So, I think that’s very cool of him.” |
Bloodsimple is currently playing club shows with Soulfly, but they’re going to be heading out with Disturbed on another leg of the Jagermeister Tour earlyi next year. |
