BLINK 182 READY GREATEST HITS
(VIDEO) Blink 182 is set to release their Greatest Hits later this fall, and Mark Hoppus looked back on his former band… here! |
Blink 182 is set to release their Greatest Hits on November 1 and the collection, titled Blink 182: Greatest Hits, will also be availiable as a DVD, containing fourteen of the band’s classic videos. The compilation features “Dammit,” “What’s My Age Again,” and “All The Small Things,” among others and it also features the rare tracks “Not Now,” which was recorded during the Blink 182 sessions, and “Another Girl, Another Planet,” the theme from the MTV show Meet The Barkers. |
The band was comprised of Tom Delonge, Barker and Mark Hoppus, who told us that the collection was easy to put together. |
“Yeah, the song choice for the Greatest Hits album was really basic. I think it was two e-mails that got the whole thing done. It’s just the songs that were released as singles, and then a couple of unreleased tracks and a couple of tracks that weren’t necessarily singles but were pretty intregal to the history of Blink 182.” |
Hoppus also shared what led to Blink 182’s ballyhooed break-up. |
“It was just kind of time. We had been touring so long with Blink 182 that we were just together all the time and it was time for us to take some time apart and do different things creatively.” |
Blink 182 started out in 1993 in San Diego and have sold a million concert tickets and close to 12 million albums. Travis Barker now is an integral part of Transplants and the band of Tom Delonge, Boxcar Racer. He’s also in Mark Hoppus’s new band +44. |
