Blades of Glory holds its number one spot at the box office.

Blades of Glory keeps it’s glory at the box office with it’s second weekend win earning 23 million dollars.

Will Ferrell says he knew right away that the premise of two male figure skaters would strike a funny chord with audiences.

“I was interested in the whole premise from the first standpoint because it’s..you know when you pitch the idea that it’s two guys having to skate together that already gets a laugh so that was already funny and it had struck me as well as them that no one had really kind of done a comedy in this world of figure skating.”

Will says Chazz Michael Michaels is also a winner with his own brand of fans.

“You know Chazz kind of plays to the crowd. Everything from his wardrobe, he wears a lot of leather and vests and cowboy hats and he’s got his own kind of fan section which is kind of a specific breed of fan.”

Meet The Robinsons holds at second place with 17 million, and Ice Cube’s sequel Are We Done Yet rounds out third with 15 million.
