BILLY HOWERDEL OF ASHES DIVIDE SURPRISED TO TOUR WITH LINKIN PARK ON PROJEKT REV
Billy Howerdel of Ashes Divide admits he was surprised Linkin Park invited the band to tour on Projekt Rev considering he didn’t even have a band. |
Billy Howerdel, formerly of A Perfect Circle and currently on tour with his latest project, Ashes Divide will be spending his summer touring on Projekt Revolution. Projekt Revolution, which was started by Linkin Park and each year mixes Rock and a little Hip Hop, will once again be bringing their fans multiple stages at each stop. Besides Linkin Park, 2008’s Projekt Revolution Tour will feature Busta Rhymes, Chris Cornell and Ashes Divide on the main stage. |
We caught up with Billy Howerdel to get his thoughts on being surprised to be asked to join the tour by Linkin Park. |
“Yeah, I was surprised . I think it was put together by our managers, who are mutual friends. An advanced copy of the record got into the Linkin Park guys hands and they put us on. It was real nice I didn’t even have a live band together yet and I got on the tour. So, that was it really cool of those guys to believe in this enough to go site unseen and put us on the tour not really knowing what it was going to be like. So that was really cool of the Linkin Park guys.” |
Projekt Revolution North American dates start July 16th in Mansfield, MA and extend until August 24th in Woodlands, Tx. Main stage bands will be joined by Atreyu, 10 Years, Hawthorne Heights, Street Drum Corps and Armor for Sleep on The Revolution Stage. |
