Don’t be surprised if one day you see Professor Billy Bob Thornton at the head of the classroom. The star of School For Scoundrels is an American history buff and says some day he’d like to share his knowledge with students. |
Ultimately Billy says he would like to teach American history to college students but it would require him to invest into a lot more schooling for himself. |
“Yes it’s very funny my father was a teacher. He was a high school basketball coach as well as a history teacher. People ask me sometimes if you hadn’t been an actor is there anything that you maybe would go into and I would be a history teacher. I’m a history buff to start with and just interested in all types of history. I think I could maybe teach it. I wouldn’t teach it the way Dr. P teaches people but I would actually like that.” |
Billy doesn’t have plans to go to school anytime soon but he’ll fulfill his teaching passion on screen playing a high school gym teacher in the upcoming film Mr. Woodcock. |
“Maybe a college history teacher. I’m sure I would have to go back to school for quite a while to get to that level. I mean right now they’d probably have to put me in junior high teaching history but ultimately I would say I’d want to be a college teacher.” |
