BILL HADER IS SUPER BAD DRIVER

Bill Hader put his driving skills to the test playing a cop in Superbad.

Saturday Night Live star Bill Hader plays a crooked cop partnered with Seth Rogen in Superbad. The duo take Christopher Mintz-Plasse on a joy ride showing him how to shoot a gun and drink beer when he gets caught in the middle of a stick up while trying to buy booze with a fake ID.

Bill says he actually drove a police issued vehicle but made the crew a little nervous as his driving skills weren’t exactly up to par.

“I did drive the car some of the time towards the end of the film not all the time. I think they were very nervous because I lived in L.A. for awhile and I moved to New York and I was in New York for about two years and I just forgot how to drive. And the transpo guys were like, ‘no, no we’ll back it out from here. You just drive it here and get out and well handle it from there.’ I think they were a little nervous about putting me behind the wheel.”

Bill did get a chance to do some super bad stunts even if they made him sick to his stomach.

“We call it in Oklahoma trenching when we’re spinning out the car. The car is actually hooked onto a truck and the truck has a camera on it and the truck would just drive insanely fast and then peel out and we would spin like that. So that was amazing. That was pretty cool. We all took like these genture pills because we’re all like, ‘oh gosh I don’t want to puke.’ There was a camera hooked to the side of the car and that did get hit by a pole at one point and we all started laughing really hard because we were really nervous. Greg Mottola the director was up on this bench looking at us, ‘everything is gonna be great guys. Don’t worry everything is fine.’ And it’s like, ‘brrrrrrr,’ and we’re like, ‘oh no.’”

Let’s hope Bill’s biking skills are a little bit better than his driving as he’s playing Biker in The Brothers Solomon written by his Saturday Night Live brother Will Forte.
