BIGGIE HEADS TO BIG SCREEN
According to Voletta Wallace, mother of Notorious B.I.G., a movie is in the works based on the life of the slain rapper. The movie will be produced by Ms. Wallace, B.I.G former managers Wayne Barrow and Mark Pitts, and directed by critically acclaimed director Antoine Fuqua. |
“The film [will be] directed by Antoine Fuqua – a very nice director. He’s very talented,” said Ms. Wallace. “Who is gonna play Biggie? I don’t know yet. Who is gonna play me, I don’t know yet. But we are in the process of casting now.” |
Fuqua has directed Replacement Killers, Tears Of The Sun, and Training Day. A release is yet to be set. |
The rapper died 10 years ago after being gunned down in Los Angeles after attending the Soul Train Music Awards. His latest album titled “The Notorious B.I.G. Duets: The Final Chapter,” has been certified platinum. |
