BIG BOI TO DROP NEW SOLO ALBUM

Big Boi working on new solo album…..

Just as hip hop fans were gearing up for a new OutKast album, Big Boi announced that he and Andre 3000 will be releasing new solo projects before the release of the next Outkast album. Big Boi will release his new single on New Years Eve and his sophomore album, Sir Luscious Left Foot, will hit stores this spring.

The rapper told Vibe.com, “I want all the stuff to be ’08, everything to be brand new. I’m going to put 12 songs on (Sir Luscious Left Foot), I’m finished with, like, nine right now. Production is by Organized Noize.”

“Haters listen up. Sorry, we are not breaking up. They’ve been saying it for four, five years now, for three different albums. I guess when people, they see that we’re doing different things and we’re branching out and doing Purple Ribbon Entertainment or Dre’s doing the animated series Class Of 3000 — and they be like, ‘Oh, they don’t work in the same studio together.’ You know, they take that as, you know, we’re breaking up.”

Outkast’s last release was the Idlewild soundtrack which was released in 2006. Before the soundtrack, the group’s last proper release was the Grammy Award-winning, Speakerboxx-The Love Below, which featured a solo album by each group member.

Rumors have been circulating for years that the group is headed towards a break up but according to Big Boi nothing could be further from the truth. He said,
