BEYONCE LEADS BET AWARD NOMINEES WITH SIX NODS

Beyonce leads all nominees with six nods for the 2007 BET Awards…..

Grammy Award winner Beyonce raked in six nominations when the nominees for 23007 BET Awards were announced on Wednesday, May 16th. The singer is up for top female R&B artist, video of year nods for “Irreplaceable” and her collaboration with Shakira “Beautiful Liar,” best collaboration for “Deja Vu” and “Upgrade U,” which both feature Jay-Z and the BET Choice Award for “Irreplaceable.”

The 2007 BET Awards are scheduled for June 26th in Los Angeles and the event will feature performances by 50 Cent and T.I. Diana Ross will be presented with BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award and Don Cheadle will be given the Humanitarian Award for his efforts at ending genocide in Darfur.

“I would love for it to happen again but I’m nto the person you ask that question to. It’s you know the heads at B.E.T. but thank you sister.”

Mo’Nique has been tapped to host the show for the second time in three years. At last year’s press conference following the 2006 BET Awards, Mo’Nique shared that she was definitely into hosting the show for a second time when asked by a journalist. She said,
