BEYONCE GRABS THREE SOUL TRAIN NODS
Former Destiny Child lead singer Beyonce led all nomineed for the 21st annual Soul Train Music Awards with a total of three. The singer was nominated for best R&B single, female, for “Irreplaceable,” best female album for B’Day, and the best video award named for Michael Jackson, also for “Irreplaceable.” |
Beyonce was followed by several acts who received two nominations including; Mary J. Blige, John Legend, Chris Brown, Gnarls Barkley, Ne-Yo, Young Joc, Jagged Edge, and the Isley Brothers featuring Ronald Isley. |
“It’s hard to believe that this is Jennifer’s first movie. And she’s doing such a great job and there’s so much pressure for her to play this part. Not only is her voice amazing. She’s doing an amazing job as an actor.” |
The 21st Annual Soul Train Music Awards will be co-hosted by LeToya and Omarion on March 10th at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena. The special will be syndicated between March 17th and March 24th. |
The honorees for the Quincy Jones Award for Outstanding Career Achievement, the Stevie Wonder Award For Outstanding Career Achievement in Songwriting, and the Sammy Davis Jr. Award For Entertainer of the Year will be announced at later date. |
In related news, Beyonce wasn’t nominated in the best actress category when the Oscar nominees were announced this week.
