BEN KWELLER CONTINUES TO IMPRESS WITH HIS LATEST RELEASE

Ben Kweller has released his fourth full length album and the self titled release leaves little doubt Kweller is mature beyond his age in not only a singer but also as a song writer as well. We caught up with Ben at the Austin City Limits festival, where his set was one of the most talked about sets of the weekend, to discuss his latest album, his thoughts on playing every instrument on the record and the fact that Ben has written his favorite song to date.

“I played every instrument so it took a little time to get the right performances. We started from scratch with piano and guitar and then I played the drums and the bass and layered it up. I wrote a song in the studio and I worked on it for five days straight and it’s one of my favorite songs i’ve ever written. It’s called ‘Thirteen’ and it’s track five on the album and I thinks it’s some of my best lyrics. So you should check that one out. So that was the only delay because I got really inspired and I had to finish the song, but that’s a good delay you know.”
