BEASTIE BOYS IN NY STATE OF MIND FOR AWESOME MOVIE
The Beastie Boys new movie “Awesome: I F—kin’ Shot That” is set to hit theaters nation wide this weekend. Fittingly the concert that comprises the movie was shot in their hometown of New York City at Madison Square Garden. |
We asked the Brooklyn based Beasties if there was any extra pressure or a different mindset recording the movie on their proverbial home court. |
The Beastie Boys movie “Awesome: I F—kin’ Shot That” was shot by fans at the show. Fifty cameras were given out, and each one captured a different side of the performance. The film was produced and directed by Nathanial Hornblower also known as MCA or Adam Yauch. Yauch actually made his first film at age 16, and it was shown during early Beastie Boys shows. |
