BEANIE SIGEL PLEADS GUILTY TO ASSAULT
Beanie Sigel pled guilty to misdemeanor simple assault on Tuesday, January 10th, and was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay $180 in court costs. The charge stems froman incident which occurred in January of 2003 when Sigel got into an altercation with a man outside of a Phildelphia Chinese restaurant. |
Sigel allegedly broke the 53 year-old man left eye socket when he punched the man in the eye. The rapper’s attorney, Fortunato N. Perri Jr. told the Associated Press that Sigel plans to “make music, make movies and work on his clothing line.” |
The rapper was due back in court on Wednesday, January 11th, to deal with an outstanding child support issue. |
In September, Sigel was cleared of attempted murder. He was accused of shooting two men outside of a Philadelphia go-go bar. Sigel served eight months behind bars in 2005 for pleading guilty to weapons and drug possession charges. |
