AVENGED SEVENFOLD SIZING UP SUMMER PLANS
Avenged Sevenfold has had a terrific second half of 2005, playing the Warped Tour over the summer, and releasing City Of Evil, which spawned the hit “Bat Country.” The song continues to climb the charts, and the band’s fall and winter headline tour was a production not seen since some of the old school bands like Iron Maiden arena bands of that ilk. |
Avenged Sevenfold is currently working out plans for 2006, and some are speculating that they might make a return to the Warped Tour this summer. The band enjoyed the tour having played it several times. The Rev, drummer for Avenged Sevenfold and bandmate Johnny Christ talked about who they got along with on the tour. |
[The Rev] “We were hanging out with Transplants and Opiate For The Masses…”[Johnny Christ] “The Offspring. Dexter actually took us out on his plane, which was really cool.” [The Rev] He flew us around in his Jet. You know what? It lasted about an hour. He flies around in his Jet. [Johnny Christ] “We actually went back in time because we were crossing over a time zone, so we ended up getting there fifteen minutes earlier than we had left.” [The Rev] “Yeah, no, it’s amazing.” [Christ] He’s a really nice guy, [Offspring guitarist] Noodles and everything, we hung out with all those guys. [The Rev] My Chemical Romance is… We took them out on tour our last headline tour a couple of years ago and became really good friends with them. We love to see them blow up and it’s really good to see those guys on the road.” |
Avenged Sevenfold resume their tour schedule January 19 in Tucson, Arizona. The Cities Of Evil tour is currently booked through February 19 in Fresno with more dates to be added soon. |
