AVANT RELEASES NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO

(VIDEO) R&B singer Avant releases new single and video….

R&B singer Avant, who recently completed his Imagination Tour, has released a new single and video from his latest album, The Director. The new song, “Lie About Us,” features Nicole Sherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls. Meanwhile The Director is approaching gold status. The rapper’s 2000 debut, My Thoughts, was certified gold as was his 2003 release, Private Room. Avant’s best selling effort, 2002’s Ecstasy, was certified platinum.

In addition to promoting the new album, Avant is still planning a collaborative album with Keke Wyatt. The two worked together on the Wyatt’s 2001 debut, Soul Sista. He co-wrote three songs on the set with Steve “Stone” Huff, and also sang on two of the tracks, including the hit single “Nothing In The World.” Prior to that, the two hooked up for a remake of “My First Love” which was featured on Avant’s 2000 debut, My Thoughts.

“Well it’s still…I’m still trying to pull it together. But it looks good. It look sreally good right now. I just have to find her and find out what she’s doing. I know she just signed with somebody else so basically once I pull it together I know it’s going happen. I know people are looking for that, so I got ya’ll.”

Wyatt recently left Cash Money Records for TVT Records and Avant explained he’d like to get the ball rolling soon. He said,
