R&B singer Avant has been busy lately traveling and performing as part of David E. Talbert’s BET sponsored play, Love In The Nick of Tyme. The play also Morris Chestnut and Terry Dexter. Although busy, Avant has decided to leave Geffen Records. He told MTV.com, “I’m just checking around. There’s a lot of different people I’m talking to. Diddy is definitely in the talking. Me and Diddy been talking. It’s a blessing to be able to talk to and work with your peers and people you look up to.” |
Avant released his last gold-certified album, The Director, in 2006 on Geffen Records. The singer released his gold debut album, My Thoughts, in 2000 on the Magic Johnson Music label. After he severed ties with Johnson, Avant released two other albums, 2002’s platinum Ecstasy and 2003’s gold Private Room, through MCA/Geffen Records. |
