AUDIOSLAVE MORELLO HEADED FOR TEMPLE AND SOUNDGARDEN
Vocal legend, Chris Cornell is set to release his latest solo album, ‘Carry On’ and he couldn’t be more excited to be solo artist, which he says is where he … |
Audioslave is comprised of members of two of the biggest bands of the ’90s. Chris Cornell fronted Soundgarden, while guitarist Tom Morello, drummer Brad Wilk, and bassist Tim C. powered Rage Against The Machine. The band started to incorporate songs by both bands into the set earlier this year. |
Tom Morello talked about working with Cornell in getting Soundgarden songs ready for the stage, and he said that he’s always been a big fan of that band. |
“We’re looking at the tip of the iceberg. We learned a pool of songs and that pool is going to grow. We just started dipping into a little bit of Temple Of the Dog. Soundgarden was a band that was hugely important to me. Soundgarden, Jane’s Addiction at the same time was a hard rock mucic that, for the first time it seemed to me, was ingelligent and has a punk rock integrity but yet had the great riffs that I love. So we’ll get out there and we’ll rock a ‘Spoonman’ or an ‘Outshined.’ It took us a while. We can do those justice pretty well.” |
Audioslave is currently out in support of their new single, “Doesn’t Remind Me,” and the video depicting the real losses of war is striking a chord with audiences who see it. The band doesn’t appear in the video because Chris Cornell thought it would take away from the experience and the message. |
