Atreyu are set to release their upcomig new album, “Congregation of the Damned” and it will be the bands follow up album to 2007’s “Lead Sails Paper Anchor” which rocketed onto Billboard’s Alternative, Hard Rock and Rock Album Charts at #1 and on Billboard’s Top 200 debuting at #8, making it the highest-charting album of the band’s career. Atreyu have recorded three other studio albums, including 2006’s “A Death-Grip on Yesterday” which also charted in the U.S. top ten, 2004’s “The Curse”, 2002’s “Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses”, two EPs and a best of collection. Altogether, they’ve sold over 1.5 million albums plus another one million digital tracks. |
After all the success they’ve experienced in the past, Brandon and Marc of Atreyu talk about hoping to do just as well on the new album and why it’s good to know that their work is appreciated. |
“You hope that you do well, you know what I mean? But all we can do is put our hearts into it and do our best and and hope for the rest to happen. We’re not like if we don’t get #8 again or beat it I’m not going to cry myself to sleep. But it’s always nice to have a little bit of like ‘Yeah people do like us!’ That’s awesome. Yeah, it’s good to know that your work is appreciated. Exactly!” |
For the October 26th release date, Atreyu have also announced they have teamed up with video game creator, Jason Oda (“Dropkick the Faint”), for the first-person shooter “Metal Zombies” which fans can play on the band’s MySpace page.
