ANNETTE BENING BELIEVES IN MOTHERHOOD

Annette Bening may play a dysfunctional and severely troubled mother on screen in Running With Scissors but off screen she says she was born to play a mom.

Having a successful 14 year marriage to Warren Beatty which produced four children was not movie like at all for Annette. She says the only difference in raising her children is having to protect them from Hollywood.

“I have good days and bad days but it’s something I’ve wanted since I was a little kid. I always wanted to have children. It’s a wonderful thing. I love it. I love my kids and especially being in show business I think it really does give you perspective.”

Next Annette will play the mother of Lindsay Lohan in A Woman of No Importance based on the Oscar Wilde play. Running With Scissors is currently playing in theaters.

“Oh I think it’s probably not that different than most people. We have to have privacy and I certainly try to give my kids as much privacy as I possibly can. But after that a lot of the issues are very much like what everybody else is dealing with in raising kids.”
