ANNA NALICK GETS SURREAL PUSH FROM ROB THOMAS
Anna Nalick’s album Wreck Of The Day is nearly a year old, and she’s garnered Top 40 play and placement in several TV shows including “Grey’s Anatomy” which used “Breathe(2AM)” in one scene that made her cry. She’s had a whirlwind year on tour and with promotion for the album. |
So what’s been the most surreal moment of the whole experience? She said it was performing one of her favorite songs with tourmate, Rob Thomas, also of Matchbox Twenty fame. |
“One that stands out is I sing “Push” out on stage with Rob Thomas sometimes. We toured together for a couple of months, and it was really fun. He treated me like a princess, and every night he would call me up on stage to sing that song with him. And as I’m singing I’d be thinking about when I was in Junior High School when I was fourteen and thinking, ‘Man, if I could just write a song like ‘Push’ then my teachers would probably like me more and this boy that I have a crush on would like me back and all these things. And I listen to that song, and it was such an inspiration. It was so good. To hear the song, still, captures a moment in my life, and then to be onstage with the person with the guy who wrote it and singing that song is…it’s just unreal.” |
Anna Nalick is still supporting her album Wreck Of The Day, and she’s released a brand new single, “In The Rough.” She’ll be on tour through April 9 in San Francisco. |
