ANGELINA JOLIE ENJOYS SEXY SERPENT

Angelina Jolie gravitated to the half woman, half lizard in Beowulf because she thought it was sexy.

When Beowulf director Bob Zemeckis showed Angelina Jolie a picture of a woman half painted gold and a serpent she went straight for the role knowing it would please her kids to see their mom as a cool creature.

Jolie plays the beast Grendel’s mother, a shape shifting seductress.

“I thought it was all really sexy. And I love that there’s this transition that she’s not really beautiful. She can morph into something that is appealing to whatever people perceive as beauty but she is this other creature.”

What she didn’t realize was how much of naked self came out in the digital animation of the demon lizard which prompted Angelina to call home right away and explain mom is not in a Disney movie after all.

“It does have those great themes in it and it is sexy. And it is visually going to be not just pretty to watch but really beautiful and cool to watch.”

Ray Winstone stars as the Viking hero warrior Beowulf fighting the monster Grendel played by Crispin Glover, opening Friday November 16th in theaters.
