ANA DE LA REGUERA EXCITED ABOUT JACK BLACK FOR NACHO LIBRE

(VIDEO) Newcomer Ana De La Reguera was excited to work with Jack Black in Nacho Libre.

Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera makes her American film debut with Jack Black playing a nun who’s orphanage is in danger of closing until Black’s macho alter ego Nacho Libre saves the day. Ana had to fly from Mexico to Los Angeles for her audition with Jack and couldn’t help but share her enthusiasm about working with him.

character is the new recruit to the monastery where she meets Black, the cook who has a taste for more than just nachos.

“I knew perfectly who he was before I did the audition but then after I got the part I watched all his movies again, like every single one. Because you know I was gonna work with him so if I had something on TV I’m like, ‘ah I’m gonna work with him,’ telling my friends.”

Nacho Libre is directed by Napoleon Dynamite filmmaker Jared Hess and opens Friday nationwide.rn

“I am sister Encarnacion and this is a really innocent girl. She’s really sweet. She just gets into the monastery to teach Catholicism to the kids. She’s really worried because they don’t have good food and she starts to like Nacho because he loves the kids. They become friends and he likes her a lot. That’s where my story starts.”rn
