AMY POEHLER REACHES FOR THE GOLD

Saturday Night Live star Amy Poehler teams up with Let’s Go To Prison star Will Arnett as the sister brother skating team of Stranz and Fairchild Van Waldenberg going for the gold in Blades of Glory.

Amy talks about the heavy competition on the ice against Will Ferrell and Jon Heder.

“Stranz and Fairchild they just want endorsements, they just want attention and so anytime the attention is not on them they get really furious. All Will Arnett and I do is we just try to get some attention away from Will Ferrell and Jon Heder on the ice anyway so it works out perfectly for the characters.”

Amy has a new found appreciation for professional figure skaters Tiffany Scott and Patrick Hancock who doubled for their characters.

“For me to get used to being on the ice to kind of be able to fake it, you’re comfortable on skates and I have an incredible new found admiration and respect for skaters. Anything that looks really easy because I used to watch ice skating on TV and it looks so cool and so easy. It’s so hard. It’s so hard and they have great butts and legs and they’re in great shape. And they’re not like actors; they never complain.”

Amy has nothing to complain about as she’s got four projects coming out including Shrek The Third and Mr. Woodcock.
