Evanescence singer Amy Lee looks back on 2006, and talks about being open to different possibilities for 2007. Lee and her re-vamped band, Evanescence, released The Open Door late last year, and it’s still embeded in the top fifty albums in the Billboard 200. |
Lee was asked what she thought the highlight of 2006 was for her. |
“Uh, that’s really tough. I think the album coming out, definitely. We worked on it for so long and all I could think about was the album. To have the album come out and be received so well is definitely the highlight of my year.” |
Looking ahead to 2007, Lee said that she’s always open to new challenges. |
“I don’t know, yeah. There’s a lot going on. I just did a Johnny Cash tribute video sort of thing, which was really fun to be part of with a lot of artists and people in the industry that I really admire. I’m always open to new things.” |
Cash’s “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” video is currently viewable on YouTube. Evanescence is currently on tour with Stone Stour in Canada, and next month the band will head to Australia for six shows. Before that, they’ll be in Japan at the end of this month. |
