AMSTERJAM MADE OF GARBAGE AND MASHED PEACHES
Garbage and Peaches teamed up for a mash-up with the European superstar, who cut in to the band’s hit song “Push It” during Saturday’s (August 20) Amsterjam performance at New York’s Randalls Island. Peaches adorned in a sexy silver and white outfit joined Garbage singer Shirley Manson and the boys in what was clearly the most rehearsed and choreographed performance of the day. |
Peaches talked about working with the band backstage after her performance on Saturday. |
“You know Shirley is so natural and cool. We had a three hour rehearsal yesterday, and that’s it, and it was totally cool. And what was cool about when we were singing and stuff, she was looking me in the eye, we were looking at each other in the eyes becuase we knew that if we didn’t go for it, then it wouldn’t…it wouldn’t mash, it wouldn’t work. So it was really cool how she was right there for me and stuff. And the band is awesome.” |
Garbage had to cut short its trip to New York to an undisclosed family tragedy. The band is now hitting Canada and the west coast on their tour in support of their new album Bleed Like Me. |
